THE SCOTTISH TERRIER FESTIVAL AND THE 2026 STCNE SPECIALTY DOG SHOWS!
The Senior Scotties Parade: - Another non-competitive class that was Open to ALL Scotties of a certain age! (7 years and beyond) During the parade, we planned to announce each dog like a celebrity, if the owner would send us a brief introduction, maybe 60 words. An example:"This is Ruth! She's seven years old and is the mother of a total of eight puppies including 2 Champions, one of which was Best In Specialty at STCNE's Specialty in 2022! ".
The Spoiled Rotten Parade of Rescues: This was not a competitive event, it was a celebration of happily- ever-after “gotcha” Scotties! During the parade, we planned to announce a dog like a celebrity, if the owner had sent us a brief introduction, maybe 60 words. An example cpuld be: "This is Zack! We celebrated his sixth gotcha day two weeks ago. Zack likes to sit up like a meercat to watch his favorite television shows!"
To be in any of these parades, people had to SIGN UP before 12 noon on May 28, 2026. Every dog had to come with a Rabies tag or certificate, and be firmly secured by its owner with a leash no longer than 6 feet. Dogs would go in the front of the parade, bitches would go behind, and all were to keep about 6 feet of distance from the person ahead of them.
